Hola Rocío: Soy Gabriel Comba, de Córdoba Argentina. Sigo a Michael desde el año 1989, cuando tenía 13 años (ahora tengo 35 años), y te puedo asegurar que cada vez me sorprende más. Tuve la oportunidad de verlo en el Estadio "Orfeo" en el 2009, cuando vino a Córdoba, y fue muy emocionante para mí, despues de tantos años poder tenerlo tan cerca. Desde ya MUCHAS GRACIAS por permitirme formar parte de esto; es para mi muy importante. Un abrazo grande a la distancia.

I am going to see Michael tonight at the Star Theatre. Just wanted to share with someone who would appreciate it. Not many people in my town to go to concerts with anymore, so I decided to go alone!!!it's a great place for a concert and my ticket isn't bad for a last minute purchase. I could have had first row in celeb circle but the stage is really high and all you see are shoes and have a bad neck later. ha ha I got row ff in celeb circle so hope that will be good. I'll let you know how he was...as if we don't already know.

estoy encantada de poder saludarte y formar parte de los fans de Michael.
Sobre mi puedo contarte que en unos días cumpliré 40 años, soy de Madrid, soltera y trabajo en una empresa francesa de moda. Adoro la música y mi primer recuerdo de Michael puede ser allá por el año '87-'88, no lo recuerdo bien pero sé que me atrapó su voz. Desde entonces le sigo y la culpa la tuvo "How am I supposed to live without you". Pude verle en concierto en Madrid hace unos 15 años y de nuevo el pasado enero. Fue uno de los momentos más emocionantes de mi vida, no podía dejar de temblar de lo nerviosa que estaba por poder volverle a ver. Creía difícil que Michael volviera a Madrid y además me enteré por casualidad.
Me encantaría poder conocer a más gente en España (y fuera también) que amen a Michael y así poder compartir buenos momentos. Tuve que ir sola al primer concierto y casi también al segundo y hubiera preferido poder estar con alguien.
En cuanto al nuevo disco.... pues que me encanta. Tenía muchas ganas de un disco de Michael que no fuera de versiones. Las hace genial pero es que a mi siempre me han gustado muchísimo sus propias canciones y es que compone muy bien... Echaba mucho de menos a ese Michael más rockero y bueno, no es que en el disco haya ningún tema así pero hay momentos en "Hope it's too late" y "Just one love" que me gustan mucho. Y por eso, me encantó que en el concierto tuviera esa segunda parte más guitarrera con todos nosotros a pie de pista, lo disfruté muchísimo.
En diciembre estaré en Sheffield y Manchester para verle. No tengo unas entradas maravillosas pero al menos estaré allí. Prometo contaros todo con detalle.
Quisiera seguir manteniendo contacto contigo o con cualquier otra persona que le apetece conocerme.

think he just gets more gorgeous everytime I see
him. Can't wait till June! counting the minutes,
I do feel a little bit apprehensive because of

My name is Julie, I am another Big Michael fan, I have loved his music like yourself for over 20 years, I have been reading you’re posts on the forum as well as you’re web page, which I read on a daily basis. I too feel that his true fans are sometimes neglected. I remember reading the account of you’re experience last year at the Albert hall and thinking how bad it was. I also, like yourself feel that you shouldn’t have to buy backstage passes, and in all honesty Michael must get fed up seeing the same old faces at the end of every concert. It is really frustrating. Which was why, it was always nice to catch up with Jason, Tre, Nelson, Janis because at least they always made time for us. I’m sure that we will get used to the new band in time, but of course it will be different L Lets hope that in the near future we may start to feel as valued as we once did, but Rocio I for one value you, as you’re site is THE BEST.

Hola Rocío, fue muy entretenido encontrar tu página de Michael, aunque con los eventos que ocurrieron este fin de semana en mi país ya lo había olvidado un poco, la verdad es que han sido unos días muy difíciles, hemos pasado momentos de mucho terror, pero la vida sigue y los chilenos nos caracterizamos por ser fuertes y levantarnos aun del mas profundo precipicio.
Te cuento que hace muchos años que sigo a Michael, desde que a chile llegó su video de How am I supposed to live without you, cerca de los años '90.
Siempre he sido fans, aún cuándo nunca he podido verlo en vivo, el año pasado vino a Chile, y estuvo en Santiago, yo vivo en Viña del Mar y no pude ir a ver su show, fue muy triste, buscaba noticias, veía a cada rato en televisión el comercial donde anunciaban el concierto, pero bueno, espero que pronto vuelva a Chile y pueda verlo.
Una de mis canciones preferidas es Missing you now, aunque en realidad me gustan todas, aún no escucho su último trabajo, espero poder adquirirlo pronto, a veces no llegan muy rápido por estos rincones los discos nuevos.
Pero me imagino que debe ser buenísimo, como todo lo que él hace.

But isn't it our choice if we want to hear him and listen to his music. He very much appreciates us being there but our reward is what we get from all the hard work he has put into giving us the music and the performances. I'm just saying...he doesn't owe us anything more than a great CD if we purchase it and a fantastic performance if we pay to attend and he does all of that. He does appreciate his fans and he has told us that many many times but to see each and everyone backstage is an impossibility.

This is the first time in History that an artist does not owe anything to his fans, to those who allow him to live from what he loves to do the most: singing and composing. Maybe it would be better if he had empty concerts, only with businessmen and no fans. Above all, it is our decision if we want to buy his CDs or go to his concerts. Then, I am sure he, or any other artist, would have all the time in the world to receive those special people backstage, but I am afraid he wouldn't have nothing to sing, nothing to compose and nothing to create, because there would be nobody to appreciate it at the other side.When he began he worked hard, he tried again and again to have success, that means, to have fans, and it didn't work. He didn't have money to pay the rent and feed his daughters. All we know what Michael has said a thousand times about his life and his 16 years overnight success.I would very much like him to read this. I just insist: I hope it is not necessary from now on to pay or to win a contest to greet Michael backstage and I do ask for a bit of balance, so that he can receive his compromises and his fans. Not always the same fans, and with some sense of equilibration.

I think even though everyone of us who is a fan of Michael or any other artist has a dream to meet that artist at least once, there are circumstances that get some people backstage before others...I think we have all seen it but we dont' have all the details so we really can't know what is happening. Certain venues have riders in the contracts that allow their patrons (whether they are fans for years or not) to see Michael for a few minutes. Some theaters do this and we all know casinos do this..it is part of the contract and Michael has to agree to it when he performs at a certain place. Also as a business man there are certain people he may need to see at certain venues as well. WE all know Foxwoods is a really busy place for him because he has friends, family and business associates he asks backstage and whether we like it or not....they come first.
There are also times when backstage passes are granted but they don't work out for one reason or another..time runs out, schedule changes and sometimes there is just human error somewhere. I think Michael would see and speak to everyone of us if it was possible but it isn't and if you thought about what you do in your life and how much time things take you would understand the situation he is in.
The contest that go on that give the winner tickets/passes to benefit a charity, well he is pretty much obligated to see these people. I know it is disappointing and frustrating to want something so badly and have it not happen. I think the main thing is to realize how much and how hard he works on his music and shows so that his fans and audience enjoys what he does. That is why he does what he does and why we enjoy it so much. Michael writes beautiful songs and we all enjoy his singing, performances, etc. and it is up to us if we want to buy that CD or go to that show that he works so hard to put on for all of us...if we are a fan that puts in extra time to help promote what he is doing then that too is our choice...he really owes us nothing more.

Yo vivo en Castellón y resulta que tenemos la misma edad y
que somos fans de Michael Bolton desde el mismo año, yo
desde 1989. Estuve en Londres en uno de los conciertos del
Royal Albert Hall el año pasado y fue fantástico, era la
ilusión de mi vida hecha realidad ya que nunca pensaba que
podría verlo en directo y menos en Londres. Además pude
entrar con la cámara de fotos y tengo fotos del concierto.
Ayer compré las entradas para ir Madrid, seguro que será
genial. No se si será tan largo como el concierto de
Londres ni tampoco si lleva telonero, ¿tu que estás siempre
tan informada lo sabes?.

I’m sorry for the delay responding to yours but you asked me what I thought of the album and since you were so generous on your web site with your review, I thought I’d do the same! J Rocio, you say you’re not an expert reviewer. Do you think Michael cares about expert reviewers? I doubt it. The best reviews are from the fans anyway. I’ll tell you girl, I’ve been visiting your site on and off since I’ve discovered it in 2002 and I know that if Michael has visited it also, that he knows you’re a real fan. When I read your review, I noticed that you only talked about the music. Most people would have mentioned how drop-dead gorgeous he is but you didn’t. I mean I’m sure he is and that is part of his appeal, although sadly, it’s lost on me since I’m blind…
Anyway, I posted my short review of the album on the “music” page of the michaelboltonmusic.co.uk site and Gail Atkinson said it was the best one there! Lol I had written a longer review but it didn’t fit in their tiny little box so I’ll paste my intended review on here for you and then my rough draft of what I think of each song. You see, I have an on-going document on my computer, where I review and analyze each Michael album as they come out. I usually take a little longer to study the album before I write it but since you asked, I’ll put it here for you too. Hope you enjoy it.

voice is beautiful and warm as the Jamaican sun! I love the line
“baby in your eyes is where I see my future shining” and also
the line “I’m ready to be part of something bigger than myself”…
his voice is softer but he still gives us his soulful sounds we
love so much
-Just one love
I love the piano intro, it’s
like a slow running-start to launch into this great world anthem
for hope. The songwriting is rich and what we’re used to hear
from Michael. I love the driving beat and we also hear some
fabulous notes in there. Great positive song!
-Need you to fall
I fell in love with that one
at first listen. The lyrics are a cut above in substance and
beautifully written. The chord changes, the backups and the
strings compliment Michael's voice and delivery so beautifully!
The music has kind of a John Mayer feel except more R&B than
blues. The theme reminds me of “Soul provider”. The whole
package is almost too perfect to fit in my head…
-Hope it’s too late
Very catchy song, the beat
and easy lyrics stay stuck in your head. Beautiful theme… This
one might be easier on the ears of long-time fans, it feels
more like the “old Michael”. I love his soaring vocals…
-Can you feel me
One of the catchiest songs
on the album. It’s a light and flirty sensuous duet. It captures
the early stages of new relationships, the desire for constant
proximity. Easy on the ears too. Another one that’ll stay stuck
in your head!
-The best
Love it! This one was co-written
by Ne-Yo. I’m not sure if it’s Ne-Yo’s electronicly altered
voice you hear in the beginning and backing Michael up, but even
if this one might not be unanimous with all fans, I personally
love that even the electronic voices harmonize and are very
melodic. The chosen instruments offer an airy upbeat feel and
work well together. Michael’s voice is beautiful and constant.
Cool bouncy mid-tempo song.
-Murder my heart
I teared up when I heard
that one at first… I have a new respect for Lady Gaga, both for
her collaborating songwriting skills and her taste in music! I
love the line “intoxicate me senseless” because I think it’s
very fitting… Beautiful luscious modern R&B song and Michael’s
sensuous delivery and perfect modulation of soft and soaring
vocals is the best! I do have a small problem with the actual
“murder my heart” title, because it seems that nowadays, modern
songwriters have run out of superlatives to describe ultimate
feelings… I just think that, as he said in his 1999 song”Love
shouldn’t hurt”… J
-You comfort me
Oh Lord, the title says it
all! Michael’s voice is like a big warm hug. The lyrics are
sweet and rich. This song reminds me of “Simply” on OAWLY and
“Next lifetime” on “til the end of forever”, in feel. Truly
beautiful. When he says “You… comfort me” So softly, I just want
to melt into a puddle…

survivors of a broken heart. A similar theme to “time, love and
tenderness” but more of an acknowledgement statement. Michael
treats us to the great lyrics and higher notes. I also like the
play with the word “Survivor” in the background.
-Crazy love
I’ve always loved this song. It’s simple, sweet and gives all its meaning to the expression “less is more”. A sweet, soft and acoustic version, very well done Michael!

Respecto a la emisora en la que oí la noticia anunciando nuevo
disco de Michael Bolton, he de decirte que no puedo asegurarte
en qué emisora fue, ya que han pasada ya unos cuantos días. Oi
la noticia de refilón. Se que fue mientras estaban presentando
una canción de Lady Gaga y dudo si la oi mientras estaba en la
piscina. Alli suelen tener enchufada Los 40 principales. Pero,
Rocío, no puedo asegurártelo. Lo siento. Lo que si que te puedo
decir que en cuanto oí el nombre de M.B. estiré la oreja y desde
entonces he estado buscando en internet información, bien en su
página, bien en la tuya sobre la salida del nuevo disco. Y debo
decir que ha sido en la tuya donde he podido enterarme, y bien,
de la noticia. Ah, también en Youtube he podido oir la canción "murder
my heart", que me ha encantado.Si esa es la primera canción,
¡cómo será el disco!.
Sobre la compra del disco por internet, para mí eso ya son
palabras mayores. Vamos que no domino el tema. Esperaré a su
publicaciòn en España. Sabiendo que ya está publicado en otros
países, la espera será más corta. A ver si en tu página nos
mantienes al día de la salida. ¿ok?
Sobre la gira. Si que me gustaría que viniera. A ver si a la
tercera va la vencida y puedo verlo actuar. He tenido dos
intentos fallidos (por distintos motivos y con la entrada en la
mano) y como se suele decir "a la tercera la vencida".
Contestando a lo que me preguntas sobre desde cuándo sigo
a Michael Bolton, te diré que no recuerdo el año. Lo oí primero
en la radio y desde entonces me quedé prendada de la potencia y
calidez de su voz. Y cuando lo vi en la TV, recuerdo que fue en
un programa (3x4) que presentaba Isabel Gemio, ya fue la pera.
Fans Incondicional desde entonces. Sería la época del "Soul
Provider". Tengo casi toda su discografía y no solo la de los
discos en solitario sino también de otros en los que ha
intervenido cantando una canción. Por eso que sería una gozada
el poder verlo al fin.
Por tu página veo que eres una seguidora a tope. Me das envidia
cuando leo que le has visto en tantos conciertos. Alguna
anécdota jugosa tendrás. ¿Has podido estar cerca de él?Servidora
con asistir a un concierto se sentiría ...
Respecto a las canciones favoritas, no había hecho un "estudio"
del tema porque la verdad es que todas tienen su encanto, pero
atendiendo a tu petición he hecho un repaso en la discografía
que tengo más a mano y he sacado las siguientes: Time, love and
tenderness, Ave maría, love is the power, baila conmigo, The
best of love, Soul of my soul, What you won´t do for love, New
York, New York, Ain´t no sunshine, etc.. Además, por encima de
éstas, hay otra canción que cuando la oigo me pone los pelos de
punta. No es de las más conocidas pero me parece genial. Es You
send me.
Cambiando de tema. Me gustaría que me recomendaras alguna página
donde encontrar traducciones de sus canciones. De M.B. no he
encontrado ninguna que sea completa.
Ahora, cuando he estado buscando la canción nueva en youtube, he
encontrando de casualidad una entrevista que le hacen a M.B.,
parece reciente, en un programa americano. El video se llama
"Michael Bolton interview en Loose Women". No he pillado nada,
porque no se nada de ingles, pero resulta interesante verlo a el
contestando a las preguntas de 4 ¿periodistas?. Te la
recomiendo.

fans desde hace bastante tiempo de Michael Bolton. He tenido
noticias por la radio y por tu página que Michael ha hecho un
nuevo disco (One world, one heart). Incluso he oído el tema que
ha hecho en colaboración con Lady Gaga. Me ha encantado. Es
increíble este artista. Cada disco es una sorpresa, una
demostración de toda la calidad vocal y de la pasión que siente
por la música.
No he tenido, como tu, la suerte de verlo actuar. Espero que el
próximo año visite de nuevo España y actue y si es cerca de
Pamplona mejor que mejor, para así, por fin, conocerlo en
directo.

700kms de Buenos Aires capital de mi pais Argentina,y a Michael
lo sigo desde hace mucho tiempo te diria q hace como 25 años mas
o menos ,trabajo en un local comercial,vendo cds ,instrumentos
musicales etc.. eso me dio la oportunidad de conseguir mucho
material importado de El q aqui no llegaba!!incluso dos cds con
su apellido Bolotin ,esta demas decirte q adoro su musica, y vi
su sensacional show aca en mi pais ,pude estar unos minutos con
el ,firmo todos mis cds y nos sacamos una foto y te digo q
conocerlo me permitio vivir y sentir en persona lo maravilloso q
es ese Hombre ,aun hoy me parece un sueño,pero cuando veo la
foto se q es realidad.Muchas cosas tristes venian pasando en mi
vida (perdi una sobrinita,mi unica hijita,otra sobrinita y ,al

Estimada Rocío: te cuento
que tengo 36 años, y conocí a Michael Bolton , cuando tenía 16 y
curiosamente, en ese momento, Michael mi edad actual.Me impactó
su voz y sus canciones, recuerdo que sonaba en todas las
emisoras de radio "How am I supossed to live whithout you".Desde
entonces, ya me daba cuenta que había algo más en él, q llamaba
mi atención.Crecí, me casé por primera vez, estuve un poco
alejada de la música, por problemas personales que me llevaron a
un afortunado divorcio, digo afortunado porque sin él no hubiese
conocido a mi actual esposo, al que amo profundamente y con el
que soy muy felíz.
Pasaron 20 años, y me dieron ganas de volver a escuchar a
aquellos artistas que marcaron la década de los años dorados´80
y parte de los ´90 también, pero en especial a ese músico tan
diferente a los demás que me marcó.
Comencé a buscar D.V.D DE M.B. para concocer más de su música y
sus canciones y videos.
Desde ese momento sentí q me identificaba por completo con su
música, con sus baladas y pude apreciar y valorar hoy más q a
mis 16 años,esa voz tan, pero tan especial y tan bella q lo
destaca de los demás cantantes. A través de internet conocí tu
página y empecé a seguir nuevamente sus pasos.Lamentablemete no
pude ver su show en Argentina, pero obviamente no porq no haya
querido. Se me complicaba bastante porq vivo en la ciudad de
Rosario en la provincia de Santa Fe y tenía q viajar a Buenos
Aires, q no es lejos, pero sí tenía q pedir permiso en mi
trabajo, y lamentablemente no pudo ser(soy encargada de un
comercio de ventas de colchones y sommiers ubicado en la zona
céntrica de mi ciudad). Por eso me encantaría y espero q no sea
un imposible, q Michael visitara mi ciudad porq inclusive me
acompañaría mi esposo quien tambien disfruta mucho de sus
canciones.
Siempre destaco q admiro tanto a Michael, también por su
personalidad: es un hombre inteligente, cordial, simpático, muy
amable y lo más importante de todo es q ES UN SER HUMANO
MARAVILLOSO MUY HONESTO Y GENEROSO.Y no sé si me equivoco, pero
parcería un poco tímido, característica que aún más me agrada.

M.B y desde cuando lo hago.

Hola, referente a tus preguntas te
quiero contar que efectivamente fui a su recital en el Espacio Riesco,
que quieres que te diga, canta hermoso su tono de voz es divino, para
que hablarte de él, es REGIO, buenmosisimo, me encanta o será que mi
tipo de hombre es asi. Lo más impresionante de esto es que en el
recital, salio entremedio del público y cantó a unos centimetros de mi
asiento, te juro por Dios quedé paralizada de hecho quedé en blanco no
atiné a nada, en otras palabras me impactó.
Bueno todos sus temas me encanta, me traen hermosos recuerdos de un gran
amor que tuve y de hecho mi ex-novio era bastante parecido a Michael,
podrás entenderme ahora.
Sin mentirte lo escucho desde el año 89 ó 90 en adelante.
Bueno que más te puede decir, lo encuentro perfecto tanto como canta y
su apariencia fisica y más aún con sus 55 años, parece un ANGEL, como

Rocío, ayer fue el gran día. Tuve la ventaja de estar en primera fila y casi me desmayo. Fue magnífico, estaba repleto y el público estaba encantado. Se hizo muy corto el tiempo, daba rabia cuando se despedían. El se veía igual a las fotos que tengo en mi equipo pero ahora las tengo en mi cámara fotográfica. Al principio dijeron que estaban prohibidas las cámaras pero nadie hizo caso y todas sacamos fotos desde que él apareció. Sabes que pude tocarlo varias veces porque es tan tierno que se acerca a la gente y da su mano muchas veces. De repente me parecía extraño estar ahí despues de verlo tanto tiempo en fotos y videos.

Hola Rocío, te cuento que yo soy fanática desde hace poco tiempo porque en Chile no llegó mucha información de él, en los ochenta cuando él se hizo famoso aquí llegaba muy poca musica . Lo que llegaba lo hacía con harto retraso, además esa fue la época del rock latino , asi que gozábamos con los artistas de Chile y Argentina. ( Soda Stereo, Virus) . Pero hace como dos años, empecé a comprar CD y DVD y me enamoré . Mi marido me molesta y se enoja un poco porque tengo a Michael en la pantalla del celular y del notebook.

nacional de la ciudad de mexico, estubo realmente emotivo ,ya q desde hace

el cariño del publico mexicano es siempre muy emotivo le gritabamos i love you y
many kisses el siempre respondia, demosto su sencilles saludando a la gente q

woman ya q salio cantando de entre los pasillos junto con el publico.

entonces un cassettetimmes love and ttensee y desde entonces queria verlo y
escucharlo cantar despues de muchos años pense q no volveria a los esenarios
hace un año compre el cd. que interpreta a sinatra y esta muy bien tiene una
enorme calidad y verlo en mexico en vivo fue un sueño hecho realidad sobre todo
este mes es mi cumpleaños es el 20 de mayo. entonces estoy doblemente feliz.

A Michael lo recuerdo desde la época
que el pertenecía al grupo Black
Jack, porque uno de mis hermanos
mayores tenía el long play que en

de los canales de mi país se
transmitía un programa de música en
inglés y recuerdo haberlo visto con
su cabellera muy larga y oscura. A

Yo nunca he podido ir a ninguno de
sus conciertos, pero si él viniera a

específica del puerto del Callao, y

es una zona muy tranquila rodeada de

Te cuento que aquí en mi país
también, hay muchos fans de Michael
Bolton. Su forma de cantar, sus
composiciones tan románticas y
tiernas, llegan realmente al alma.
A mi me sucedió que, cuando salió de
moda la canción "TE DIJE QUE TE
AMABA, PERO MENTÍ", pasaba por un
momento muy difícil en mi vida. Me
encontraba tan apesadumbrada y
triste, que esa canción con su
melodía y la fuerza de espíritu que
transmitía, me hizo sentir y caer en
la cuenta, que no todo estaba
perdido; además, que era joven para
dejarme abatir. La letra de esa
canción realmente tocó mi corazón.
Espero sinceramente que el guarde un

importante para realizar un

empezar decirte que vivo en Extremadura,
estoy casada con una mujer que nacio y vivio
hasta hace unos 7 años o algo mas en Gijón y
de hecho mi suegra aun vive en Gijón. Yo
hasta septiembre de 2006 vivia en madrid
ciudad donde naci y vivi hasta esa fecha. Me
case en junio 2006 y había que tomas una
decisión asi que deje mi trabajo , mi piso y
me fui a extremadura y decirte que estoy muy
bien, sabia que ganaría en calidad de vida y
asi es. Ahora estoy en Madrid, vine ayer ya
qu ehoy tengo revision que me hago todos los
años en madrid. Pedi dos días de vacas y
aqui estoy por eso ayer no pude contestarte,
ya que aproveche para ver mis sobrinas (hoy
vere a mis otros sobrinos). Respecto al cd,
lo tengo en cinta grabado por eso quiero el
cd por que la cinta esta que se rompe de
tanto que la pongo. No lo encuentro en el
corte ingles ni en la fnac ni en francia cdo
estuve hace une mes mirando en todas las
tiendas. Por eso te mande el mail para ver
donde podia comprarlo. Me das una direccion
de EEUU para comprarlo y me dices que es
fiable, pero una cosa, cto tardan en
mandarlo?.Por cierto la cancion de mi boda
fue una de m.bolton: NOW THAT I FOUND YOU
del cd LOVE SONGS bueno esdel cd de 1991 de

I have forgotten to congratulate you on the wonderful site you maintain about Michael. It is really a great job and I assume it has taken and takes you not only a lot of time and effort but love too.
It is very well structured and one can find anything - lyrics, biography, photos, news.... By the way, how do you gather all the photos I wondered - I read some are being sent to you by fans, but others are of a paparazzi type - but of course all gossip is interesting.
I would also like to ask you how did you manage to meet Michael in person - was it by chance, or you asked for a meeting, or is it a regular practice for musicians to meet fans after concert? I am just wondering whether I have missed my chance during the concert in Sofia - I am a shy person and I would not bother anyone with my presence, moreover there were guards from the event organization company - but I am curious whether there would have been a chance of such meeting. Since I gather you have more experience in similar situations how should a fan proceed with his/her usual requests of taking a picture with the idol of asking for his signature on a photograph without becoming a nuisance? I will be very interesting for me to know.
And now I will tell you a funny story - all my colleagues laughed at it.
Several evenings ago I cooked some rice and tomatoes in the oven as a dinner for my family. When I went to fill the plate of my husband (who obviously had become rather jealous of my constant listening to Michael) he said " Don't put too much for me" to my question why he replied " In case I don't like it you can give it to Michael Bolton". My daughter and I laughed to tears and I said if I had to cook for Michael it would be a much tastier dish - like a steak or something. " I am also not sending you to Shania Twain to wash you socks, since you like her" I retorted.
I don't know whether this is valid for all men from southern countries, but they really become very jealous when their wives are engaged in something else apart from their "precious" spouses.

My name is Natalia. I am 37 and I live in
Sofia, Bulgaria.
On 5th of July this year I went to Michael
Bolton's concert in Sofia with my 15-year
old daughter, who had actually no idea who
this great singer was.
I was
a breathtaking experience.
After the concert she admitted that she had
actually heard at least 5 or 6 of his songs
and that they were world famous. (Imagine
what a revelation that was for a member of
the Byonce and Shakira generation). And what
was the most interesting thing of all - I
printed the texts of some of the most famous
ballads and she learned to sing and
memorized them.
I will not bother you with my personal feeling towards this man who I worship and his soul-touching voice - most fans cherish similar attitudes and it's quite understandable.
I could hardly dream of meeting him in person, but at least I want to ask you whether it is possible to receive a photograph or a poster of him signed by him with a few words written for me?
And whether he reads any messages sent by fans? I case he does, I would write in brief the following:

You can hardly believe what an effect your
songs have on all you fans, especially on

9 of july in 2007 was a fantastic day in my
life. I waited that day aprox 22 years ago.
And he was very brilliant in the concert. I
didn't know am I laugh or am I cry. I was so
happy. I sat on the middle of second line
and when he come down to sing "When a men
loves a woman" he walked beside me and I
caress his arm. I have never thought he
comes to my country once, and that day my
dream came true.
I love him 22 years ago, and my favourite
song is "When I'm back on my feet again",
but I love all song of Michael. Sinatra
album is very well, but I like the old rock
ones. "Rock me baby" is specifically. And of
course the "Arias" is very good album. I
like operas too. So anything what Michael
does, I love it. :)))))
I'm sorry, Michael didn't come to us, when
the concert was end, becouse we want to take
some photos with him. :(

First of all thank you for wasting your time
to write to me. It's nice.
"Enjoy" is not the exact word for the
feeling to go to the concert of MB ! I think
I was so excited that I could do everything
at this moment.
I can not share maybe the same feeling as
all other fans - a kind of obsession.. but
obviously I'm also a keen fan of MB.
All began when I was a little girl. I was
born on 25th December. And one year I was
alone on Christmas - I can not remember the
exact reason.And then I heard for
the first time some songs of MB - The
Christmas album on TV. I was filled with
admiration for his voice and his music.
I see that you not just "follow his career"
but this is more than that. It is amazing
how one man can influence over so many
people!
The concert in Bulgaria made me realise that
MB is only a human being like all of us and
in the same time he made to believe in my
dreams...
That's why I wanted to be added on the MB

Rocio, let me know more about you as well. I have been a dedicated MB Fan since the mid 80's & had been an original gold club member. I lived outside of D.C. in MD & never missed a concert in the MD/DC/VA area as well as his charity baseball games & actually walked next to Michael as he left the field. I have come so close so many times but have never actually met him which is my dream. I have waited at the limo & had been successful a few times. I also drove up to his driveway in CT but would never invade his privacy. I am looking forward to 8/27 since I have tickets for the concert in Lancaster, PA.
Nicollette has always been one of my favorites & always felt they had a strong connection & would get back together.
My husband & I moved to a Delaware beach town in 5/02 where I am a full time real estate agent.

Te diré que mi segundo apellido, Vallina, creo que es de por ahí, y que mi familia materna era de un pueblecito llamado Sotrondio, aunque ya no me queda ningún vínculo por ahí. Lo mío con Michael Bolton, en fin, me gusta toda la música de este chico. Empecé a escucharle más o menos cuando tú, después del lanzamiento de “The Hunger”, que creo que fue cuando todos empezamos a valorar su verdadero talento. Sólo estuve en un concierto de Michael, en el de 1996 en Módena, con Pavarotti, el benéfico por los niños de Bosnia. Michael cantó I Pagliacci, magistral, y recuerdo que el gran Pavarotti le dijo: bravo tenore!!!! Cuando estuvo en España, por cuestiones de trabajo casi siempre, no tuve ocasión de ir a verle.
Puedes quedarte tranquila con tu página. En mi navegador el menú de navegación está cien por cien operativo. Yo no llamaría a tu trabajo de aficionados, al contrario, está muy pero que muy bien, estás hecha toda una webmaster. ¡Ojalá yo tuviera tanta paciencia para estas cosas!

Hola Sra. Rocío, antes que nada la felicito por tener tan buen gusto ya que le encanta Michael Bolton y también Ricardo Arjona por la música de la otra página web. Descubrí a Michael Bolton hace aproximadamente 12 años y fué por una amiga del colegio que como sabía que yo practicaba inglés escuchando música me dijo de Michael Bolton y recuerdo que escuché "Completely" esa fué la primera canción para mí; luego me dedicaron "how am I supposed to live without you"; me reí muchísimo con "Can I touch you... there" y desde entonces suelo decir que estoy enamorada de su voz; aunque también es wapo, pero más bien lo veo como un Señor, hasta creo que tiene una hija de mi edad. Las canciones que más me han gustado son: "Said I love you but I lied", "How can we be lovers" y su versión de "Yesterday" y disfruté mucho su CD de "Only a woman like you" por las canciones en español aunque prefiero su voz en inglés porque con ella crecí y basicamente él junto con cantantes de habla hispana como Ricardo Montaner entre otros le han puesto la banda sonora a los mejores momentos, lo más cómicos, los medio tristes, los alegres, los inolvidables ... de toda mi vida. Y esto se lo diría si algún día lo tengo en frente como usted lo tuvo. A diferencia de muchas fans yo no soy de esas que me le avalancho encima y que quieren un pedazo de él (jajaja) para nada, me encantaría es compartir un mocaccino con él hablandito; sería un honor para mí. Pertenecí a su club de fan siendo una adolescente con 12 años aproximadamente y gracias a tu website ahora puedo saber más de él. De sus cds solo tengo 2 originales porque aquí a Venezuela practicamente no llegan y es un lío las compras por internet por el precio y el envío. Sé que algún día estaré en un concierto de él y lo disfrutaré inmensamente como lo hago escuchando sus canciones.

Ante todo mis feliciataciones por la Pagian, la cual contiene gran cantidad de infrormacion sobre Michael.
Te puedo decir que l odescubri cuando interpreto la cancion de la película Hercules (prefiero su version, Porqiue algunas veces no hay nada como lo original). Aun no he podido asistir a un concierto pero espero hacerlo, por eso pienso adquirir su DVD pero no esta Disponible en USA para comprarlo por Internet, no tienes idea de cuando saldra para el mercado americano? De sus canciones me gustan muchas, pero en especial Eternally, Soul Provider y cuando canta Whiter Shade Of Pale.

sorry to take so long to reply but i have just come back from Newcastle, England after seeing the man himself in concert.
I am originally from Newcastle, england but have now lived in Pinoso, Spain for about 20months. I discovered Michael about 14-15 years ago (i think) I was in a friends car and heard the 'Soulprovider' album , never having heard about him before (don't think he got any airplay in the NorthEast of England much) i was smitten straight away.
I now own all his albums even the rubbish he first came out with.
Anyway back to the concert, i booked without knowing he is playing BArcelona 1st November, anyway he was needless to say FANTASTIC a FAB performance, i could go and see him over and over again but i will probably have to wait another 4 -5years!!! I bought his new cd - autographed by the man himself so i was told!!!! i hope so i paid a fiver over the price.
My daughter, Georgia loves him to. No she was not named after 'Georgia on my Mind' even though i love the song, my cousin was pregnant at the same time and said she would n't be using the name anymore so i asked if she would mind if i used it because as soon as she said 'Georgia' i knew that was what i wanted to call the baby, not Charlotte or Cassanadra!!!

Michael Bolton desde los 4 o 5 años. Imaginate, con 4 o 5
años ya era mi idolo..¿que ace un crio de esa edad escuxando a Michael? Por
eso, ahora que tengo 19, me volví loco cuando me enteré que actuaba en
barcelona! Yo soy de Almeria y ya tengo entradas para ir a verlo. Es
increible lo que este artista significa para mi.

I really do apreciate you telling me about yourself. Some people aren’t too comfortable doing that over the internet. Wow, your life sounds exciting; being on the city council, second after the mayor? I’m impressed! I’m happy for you that you’ve found someone special to share your life and a sweet little nephew to love. Your mom must be very proud.
I’m sorry to hear about your father. I’ve lost both parents fairly early in life. My dad passed away when I was 11 years old and my mom did 9 days before my 20th birthday. That’s one of the reasons my family is so precious to me. I’m 40 years old, by the way.
I wanted to thank you for the kind words about my life. I do what I can. I think the best thing to do, whatever your situation is, is to keep a positive outlook.
I can tell you a bit about myself too. I’m a stay-at-home mother of 4 and I’ve been married since 1986. We live in a nice home we’ve bought 10 years ago in a quiet neighborhood. I have a daughter in college and my youngest one is in kindergarden. I have two girls and two boys. I correspond on a weekly basis to three Bolton buddies and sometimes to Gail from M BPLATINUM and June Allen from the Bolton Bulletin UK. They are both very nice, I’m sure you know if you’ve met Gail and June. I’m hoping very hard to be able to make the fan reception this year to get to see my friends and see Orrin again. Have you met Orrin? He’s a sweetheart.
I’m glad to hear that you do have access to the on-line updates. I used to have mine printed and my husband read them to me. But now, I can read them by myself with my Jaws computer program. It’s really cool, it’s a program with a vocal synthesis. Most likely, I’ll write an article for the on-line updates only if I go see Michael. Gail told me she’s had a number of good comments on my 2003 article so, that’s a good insentive to write another one! I do write messages to Michael on the message board, from time to time though. I know you used to do that too, a couple of years ago. My daughter used to copy the message board for me to read but now, I can read it by myself. I have put two or three messages on the message board in the past year.
It was really nice to hear about your concert experience in Madrid. I know exactly how you felt : the feeling of being in the same room with Michael is overwhelming! And experiencing a concert with people who feel the same way you do is just the greatest…
Before I let you go, I want to tell you that I’m sending you the 2002 article I was telling you about, in my last message. That’s the one Gail sent directly to Michael. I found out that Michael reads all the on-line updates eventually. But Gail had sent mine ahead so he’d pick it out to read. I encourage you, if Michael does go to Spain this year, to write an article, talking about your experience. From what I’ve heard, Michael loves to hear enthusiastic reports on his music and performances. That makes sense!

How are you? Well, I hope. How is the weather in Spain this time of year? Here in Québec, it’s very cold and snowy. For the past few weeks, we’ve had temperatures below zero Farenheit.
I wanted to say that you’re very welcome for the French lyrics of OAWLY, de nada! I love to share with Bolton buddies.
You asked me if I’ve seen Michael in concert in ’98. Yes I did! It was my very first Michael concert and I wasn’t in the fan club yet. My husband had gotten tickets through American Express and we ended up in the 9th row, not bad huh?? Michael had come to Montréal before, in 1991 and 1994 but I couldn’t go. I was very disappointed.
I did go see him in 2002 but I had to fly to the States and last October, my husband and I drove for 8 hours to go to Connecticut. Of course, you know it was worth it!
Rocio, I don’t know if you have access to the on-line updates on the fan club web site but, I wrote an article for the special tour issue. I actually wrote one in 2002 and one in 2003. When I wrote the one in 2002, Gail Atkinson told me she had discussed it with Joyce Logan and they both agreed that my story was, and I quote : »the kind of story that would mean a lot to Michael » and she sent it directly to Michael’s office! When she told me that, I went crazy!
You see, in my article, I talk about my friends and I getting together thanks to him. What’s special about it is that we went through a lot to do that and the three of us are blind. I can understand why it meant a lot to Michael.
Anyway Rocio, that’s about it for now. If you want to, let me know about your concert experiences and tell me a bit about yourself. I think someone told me that you do come to the fan reception in September, is that right? I couldn’t go last year but I’m hoping to be able to go this year.

The reason I’m writing to you is because I’ve been going through the lyric search on the fan club web site and I’ve noticed that they have a few songs missing, namely « Baila conmigo ». I think it’s really great that they do have some Italian and Spanish lyrics though…
So anyway, I was wondering if you had the lyrics to « Baila conmigo ». I took some Spanish lessons back in high-school but I don’t remember enough to be able to make out all the lyrics. But, I have to say that, what little Spanish I know, I can tell that the lyric translation sounds pretty faithful to the English version.
I also wanted to ask you : what do you think of Michael’s pronunciation in Spanish? He sounds really good to me but obviously, I’m not Spanish! I can only tell you that he sounds absolutely beautiful in French! I love his French version of « Only a woman like you »…

Hola Rocío, que gusto me da que me hayas respondido. Bueno, te cuento que mi nombre es Paola Cuya Sumalavia, soy peruana, de la capital que es Lima. Tengo 30 años y un bebé de 2 meses y 10 días. Sobre Michael, sabes, desde la primera vez que lo oí por la radio, me gustó muchísimo, y cuando lo ví por la tele me encantó; realmente es un hombre guapísimo, con un encanto muy particular y una voz dulce, tierna y con mucha fuerza, capaz de llegar a lo más profundo del corazón. Canta con mucho sentimiento y sus canciones son intensas, que aunque lo canta en inglés, aunque en ese momento no tenga la traducción, no hace falta, porque sus canciones son tan bellas, las melodías y sobre todo su voz, y de él, como te decía, es encantador.

It was so nice of you to add my name to the MB Wall. I'm so glad to hear from you. As you know, my name is Paloma, Pal for short. You may know me from the fast-growing online community dedicated to Michael Bolton.
Please allow me to introduce myself...I'm a violinist-pianist. I also hold a doctorate in psychology. What a combination of talents!! Don't you think? I owe it all to my late mother, Aurora. She was a self-taught pianist, so that's why I'm into music. I first hear Mr. Bolton sing "When I'm Back On My Feet Again"on the radio at age eight, but had never heard of him in my life. I did not hesitate to ask my mother, siblings, and relatives if they knew something about "The Man Behind The Voice," but no one could provide any background info on Mr. Bolton. I had to wait until my father returned from England. Unlike them, my father knew who that powerful voice belonged to.
I come from a family of musicians and therefore was expected to play at least one musical instrument. Encouraged by my mother, I started off with the violin, but her sudden death brought a sad meaning to my life. I was depressed and spent most of my spare time isolated from my friends and family. I took psycological treatment and managed to overcome the loss of my mother. My father was often working and had very little time to raise three children on his own. That's why he asked his older sister to move with us. Basically, my aunt became something like a maternal figure. My life is full with tragedies, for my only brother tragically died in a car crash. Once again, I found myself experiencing depression and on top of that, my one-year turbulent marriage ended a couple of months before the atrocious accident. I just could not stand the painful divorce, much less another loss of a family member. I managed to survive, and now I'm trying to recover from all that. My favorite MB song is "When I'm Back On My Feet Again,"
I'm from Houston, TS, but I now reside in Lafayette,LA. I grew up idolizing R&B and Soul pioneer such as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and Marvin Gaye. My father had a room, which he called "Music Room." He always played old records and that's how I got hooked on music. I'm also a huge fan of Kenny G. That man takes my breath away.

I'm not a super fan of either of them but I do like their music, but moreover I really respect their ability to touch so many lives with their music. They say that the music you listen to says a lot about you ... and when you have Michael Bolton and Kenny G topping your list it says a lot of good about you.
Music means a lot to me, it makes my Monday morning brighter and gives me that extra boost of evening energy. I love almost all forms of music Rock, Love songs, Folk music , Country, Instrumental and Indian Fusion. I sometimes listen to a little metal to drive the adrenalin higher J. dire que tengo 22 años y desde los 12 empeze a escuchar musica
(antes solo
veia TV), y el genero que me gusto fue la balada en español.
Cuando entre a
trabajar en el 2000, fue donde por primera vez escuche musuca
en ingles y
algunas baladss empezaron a gustarme. Es asi como un dia uno de
mis
compañeros puso un CD de baladas en Ingles y Oh sorpresa un a de
las
canciones fue "When a men loves a woman" y queda fascinada con la voz y
la
fuerza de imterpretar. NO sabia en ese tiempo quien era Michael Bolton ni
lo
que queria decir la cancion, pero el solo oirla me gustaba.
Luego de un
tiempo otro amigo trajo otro CD del mismo tipo y escuche "How I
am Suposed.."
(no recuerdo como se escribe) e identifique la voz y me
encanto tambien,
finalmente encontre "Said I love you but I lied" y listo.
Me gusto tanto su
fotma de cantar que empeze abuscarlo en internety buscando

Thanks for telling me your experience with Michael. I'm sure you will get to meet him, again, and again, and again as time rolls along!!! LOL! I'm glad to tell you about mine, as well. It does bring back so many memories! By the way.......did I tell you there were times I would had pictures of me standing with Michael, because that's was how close I got to him??? But didn't have someone that could take the picture. And one of my brothers, want to have that picture, that way he could just show it off. That his sister (that's me) got close to Michael. That has happened. A BB did take my picture, at one of the Gala in CT, few years ago. As Michael and Ashley Judd was being interviewed. My head was turned to the side, at the wrong time, the picture was taken. And that was that. But someday........side by side, facing the camera! And maybe a kiss on the cheek, added with the photo. I can dream.......can I??????! Take care!!

I'm an African-American, who have heard Michael Bolton music in the mid 1980's. Then when the radio station changed their format, from Contemporary Soft Rock and Smooth Jazz, to mostly all Smooth Jazz! I missed hearing his music. But didn't know who he was. In step-in Kenny G. who I do heard his music, most of the time. Had Michael Bolton on his "Live" album. The song was, "Don't Make Me Wait For Love". I have heard it sang by someone else, with Kenny G. But now, hearing Michael singing it. I began to fall in love with the guy and his incredible voice!!!! LOL!! Then, after a few days later, I wanted to know who he was. Was surprised he was not African-American guy. But did it came to my mind, this is the same guy that sang, "Sittin In The Dock of The Bay"! Then in the early 1990's, I joined his Fan Club. Trying to get as much info on Michael. And the rest is history!!! I did got to go to my concerts of many to see him. And went to some of his charities, mostly in CT. The longest journey I got to see Michael, was back in 1998. In two States, Illinois and Wisconsin, with some other BB'S, along. I did have a lot of fun, back then, ahhh, those memories!! I missed them so!!!! Hmmmmm!! Well, that's enough about me. Thank you for adding me on the MB Wall. I will be checking to see me there..........on the MB Wall!! By the way, I'm 42, now! So back in my late 20's, I got to hear, "The Voice" of Michael Bolton. How about you, Rocio?? HOLA!!! Mi nombre es Milena Cuevas, soy de Argentina y quisiera hacer una pregunta: En qué cd de Michael puedo encontrar el tema "The Day You Love Me" ("El Día Que Me Quieras" de Carlos Gardel)? Me fascina la versión que hizo de ese tema y desde que lo escuché en la radio (hace un mes aproximadamente) lo estoy buscando desesperadamente y no lo puedo conseguir. Yo vivo en una ciudad bastante pequeña, en el norte de Argentina y aquí tenemos pocas disquerías de las cuales ninguna tiene ni la más pálida idea sobre ese tema... una vergüenza, no?

I started listening to Michael Bolton last year when i went to my cousin's wedding and they started playing "Once in a lifetime" "Una Mujer Como Tu" and "Butterfly Kisses." I fell in love with his music and with him. (LOL) Ever since then I started listening to Michael Bolton and buying his CD'S. hold it i said that was enough about me....
